Materials: All materials will be provided.
Students will explore creativity by composing their names using various drawing objects. They will start with a sketch inspired by provided illustrations and then bring their designs to life with acrylic paints.
Students will watch a film about an Austrian visual artist and architect Friedrich Hundertwasser and explore his art and architecture through books. They will then create their own unique house facades, drawing from Hundertwasser's distinctive style.
Students will learn about the French artist Henri Matisse by watching a film and discussing his famous cut-out works. They will then create their own cut-outs, inspired by Matisse's vibrant and playful style.
In this class, students will delve into the elements of art, including line, shape, form, value, and space. They will create patterns based on examples provided in class, outline their pencil silhouettes with black sharpie, paint them with black acrylic paint, and glue them onto sheets featuring different lines and shapes.
